This is the view at 6:50am from the rocking chair in our nursery. Our rocking chair has been ready and waiting for 2 years, 3 months, and 25 days. Twice we have prepared the room, filled the drawers, and made the bed only to close the door. First, for Garrett who was born sleeping. And again for Grant, whose interim care family now calls Jaden, after our adoption fell through.
Autumn asked me what I was doing and I told her I was taking a photo for a project to remember baby Garrett and we were starting with a sunrise. She asked if she could take a picture with her camera and, of course, I told her yes. I gave her the option of a different place but she wanted to take a picture of the sky from the nursery. Sweet girl. She wrote a story called "Me and Baby Garrett." I'm guessing it will show up here at some point this month.
