I hope everyone had a great Easter. Ours was pretty good, if a little unusual. I went to Georgia for an aikido seminar so I was gone Friday and Saturday but I made it back in time for some celebrating. I always get a little concerned about how Easter is going to go. I think it's partly all the miracle stories and the cute matching siblings outfits. This time around, other than a few twinges, the day went well. The incredibly beautiful day probably helped a lot! I love this photo. I took it in the front yard by our big flower bed. It looks pretty amazing this year although the bed needs a little more work. It's full of flowers, strawberries, and blackberries and is the result of two growing seasons worth of work. I can't wait to see how it looks next year.
We attempted to get a good family photo but in every single one, one of us has a weird face! I really wish I had a good full length one of me because I wore this great outfit my mom bought me in the Philippines. I really think that it fits so well because it was made for someone my height! When Mike and I went to the Philippines many years ago, I bought a ton of clothes and wore them until they were threadbare. I'll wear it Friday to Tamara's rehearsal dinner so all picture opportunities are not lost.
Getting the grandkids to look in the same direction was also an adventure. Hudson was not having any of it! For any new readers, he and Tyler belong to Mike's brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Leah. Ellie is Lindsay and Kyle's--Kyle and Leah are brother and sister and Ryan and Lindsay are brother and sister so how funny is that?
I thought this was sweet.
And they are all looking the same way! Success!
I'll probably put some more photos on the family blog next week but this one was so fun I couldn't resist.
And that's it for Easter! I hope everyone has a wonderful week. This Saturday is Tamara's wedding, yay, so I'm probably going to be off the internet for most of the week. When I come back, though, I have more martial arts photos and videos and the parties we've thrown for the wedding! In the meantime, I'm doing what I can around the house while nursing Autumn who woke up absolutely covered in a giant, red rash!
